Driving to Camberwell is easy enough, but there's not much car parking! East Camberwell does have some of the only streets in Southwark with free parking, so do have a hunt!

What's in the vicinity?
Vauxhall
A mere 25 minute walk or short bus ride brings you to the gay delights of Vauxhall, including our favourite, the Royal Vauxhall Tavern.
Kennington
Known for its Sapphic vibe, visit the Little Apple gay bar (and mourn the loss of Southopia lesbian bar), or just play outdoor bowls in Cleaver Square.
Peckham
Visit the Peckham cinema, or drink at the trendy Bar Story or Rye Pub for gay-spotting potential. Also enjoy the delis and great independent bookshop, Review.
East Dulwich
A newly gentrified area, their most gay-friendly bar is the Black Cherry, but there is an array of trendy bars, restaurants, delis and designer shops.
Herne Hill
A pretty street of posh local shops backs onto the lovely Brockwell Park, including the recently-refurbished Brockwell Lido (with its gay (mainly boy) beach in the summer).
Brixton
The Brixton Ritzy is possibly the nicest cinema in London, and a 10-minute bus ride/20 minute walk from Camberwell.
