Gay Camberwell Launch Month Closing Party

Friday 28th November @ 7pm

The Cambria, 40 Kemerton Road SE5 9AR

The Launch Month  may be ending, but Gay Camberwell is just beginning, so come and toast the end of a fabulous launch month, and drink to the future of gaycamberwell.com at our Gay Camberwell Launch Month Closing Party. Get there early to enjoy pink martinis (free, so get there early!) and a special Gay Camberwell food menu, courtesy of the lovely manager Steve.

Following the success of the Launch Party, there will be several acts at the Cambria... most are yet to be confirmed, so watch this space!

Special Guests for your entertainment pleasure:

Marcus Reeves

South Londoner, writer and performer Marcus Reeves is delighted to entertain us at the closing party. He has previously performed his cabaret at The Troubadour, Drill Hall, BAC, Bethnal Green Working Men's Club, Turnmills, Soho Review Bar and Bistrotheque-where he won their infamous Tranny Talent contest last year... followed by winning VauxhallVille's Art Olympics. Marcus adds to his list of performances...at The Cambria!

Claire Benjamin

This fabulous singer, comedienne and performance artist is a gay London favourite, this month alone having performed at Bar Wotever, the Kensington Roof Gardens, the Pink Poodle Club at Soho Revue Bar, Rich Mix, Zero Aldwych, Whitechapel Art Gallery and Leicester Square Theatre. Her set at the Cambria is sure to be amazing.

Michael Twaits

Michael Twaits has been described by Time Out as "here, queer and unquestionably talented" and quite frankly, we agree. He is a well-respected gay performance artist, actor and writer, and was most recently seen locally in 'Confessions of a Dance Whore' at Oval House Theatre. He is a Camberwell lad and after his fantastic performances at the launch party and Club Wotever during Gay Camberwell Launch Month, we are extremely glad we convinced him to round off the month by performing at our closing party.

Yeah Sparrow

This Brixton folk acoustic troubadour, rapidly on the rise on the London circuit, will be here to entertain us with a musical extravaganza.

DJ Sina

DJ Sina is a local lad, being a Goldsmiths graduate and an esteemed graphic artist as well as a fab DJ spinning tunes for Gay Camberwell at the Cambria this evening to get us dancing.
